I celebrated Halloween this weekend and had a lovely time. Saturday we went to the park to visit nature and honor the local land spirits. It’s always good to do this but this time of year it is easier to get in touch with the land spirits that have gone before us. The area where we celebrated was home to the Chinook and Klickitat tribes.
Then the trick or treating part 2 began (Friday night there was a downtown trick or treating we went to). Willow took the biggest bag and would yell “Yeah” after someone put candy in her bag. Then she would wave and say, “bye” at each house. How quickly they get the hang of these things when there’s candy involved. I carved four pumpkins, Melody did a lot of her happy pumpkin, and then I painted the fifth pumpkin.
